Hummus is a dip, a savory dish made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. It is popular in the Middle East and in Middle Eastern cuisine around the globe.

2 cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 garlic cloves, crushed
1/4 cup tahini paste
1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup cold water

Add chickpeas, garlic, tahini paste, lenon juice and salt in the food processor, until desired consistency. Add cold water for a smoother consistency.

You may need to add more salt, lemon or tahini as desired.
